Warka Pastry Leaves (pastille sheets)
Warka Pastry Leaves ;is an essential ingredient Moroccan, used to make a number of sweet and savory pastries and dishes.
you’ll want to-have The Following:
Non -stick skillet
Pot for boiling water
Vegetable oil, for brushing the dough
basting brushs :
1 cap of Flour ( 250 gr)
1cap of water(250 ml)
1 tablespoons of oil vegetable oil
Process the ingredients together in a food processor for two minutes. cover, and leave to rest for an 15 minutes ,fill a pot halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and place a non-stick skillet on top of the pot of water
Lightly oil the non-stick skillet and wipe away the : there’s no need to oil the pan again
Leave it to heat for 5 minutes.
Use a bristle brush to stir up the batter. Before making each leaf, stir , lift up the brush thick with batter and quickly brush the batter evenly over the skillet.
Fill in any holes or spaces that you missed
Leave the batter to cook. when the center no longer looks wet and the edges dry out and pull away from the side of the pan.Then
loosen the cooked pastry leaf from the pan and lift it out by its edges. Place it cooked-side-up on a plate lined with plastic wrap, and brush lightly with oil
you must grease each sheet
When all the batter is used,Wrap the pastry leaves in plastic. to keep them from drying out.and leave it in the refrigerator .they can be kept for up to two or three
